Manchester Arndale Shopping
04 Nov , 2019
Modern city centre shopping experience
A lot has happened since the Arndale centre first opened its doors in the late seventies when many other cities around the country were having similar city centre shopping malls built, with a few of them Arndale centres. With the 1996 IRA bomb being the catalyst there has been much new redevelopment in Manchester city centre. The devastated area was reconstructed, but it did not stop there and one of the beneficiaries of this new impetus by the city council to take Manchester into the new millennium was the modernisation and doubling in size of the Arndale. Even after the extension of the centre and the revamping of the original bit other improvements such as the new Halle Place food hall has been added with 10 new restaurants and cafes with comfy seating and a striking Atrium making it light spacious and aesthetically pleasing.
Big bustling busy modern shopping centre
Shoppers really needed the new Halle place to recharge their batteries and get refreshed to resume their onslaught on more than 200 shops covering over one and a half million square meters. The centre has the pulling power to make deals with international brands, many of which start trading in the UK at Manchester Arndale as it can boast over 40 million visitors a year, which is even more than the much celebrated Trafford centre. It is supply and demand, the bigger the footfall the more attractive the centre is to retailers and the better brands are represented.
Great retail therapy for all shopaholics
With a wide range of stores covering just about every category of the retail sector from Kids wear, Men’s wear, accessories gadgets and electronic as well as many top designer labels there is ample choice for everyone. Perhaps this is one of the reasons the ladies of Manchester are stylish and the elite escorts in Manchester always look a million dollars, displaying taste style and panache looking chic in their designer apparel.
